I’ve just started using Flickr. I had looked at photos on flickr before, usually linked from blogs and such.
There are lots of fiber artists, hand dyers etc who post their work and share and comment and so on. Mostly it’s closeup shots of the work itself, occasionally someone modeling the scarf or shawl and what not. But the focus is the work itself.
Could the guy who insists on “showing his work” with his shirt off, sometimes with his pants off, please cut it the &#!$ out. I realize you are peeved cuz you got thrown out of a particular flickr pool, but you are really skeeving me out. You have nice fabric, and it would be fun if you were sharing in a way that is not just for the shock value, and to elicit comments and invitations that just aren’t appropriate for everyone. You have referred to others who share this opinion as prudes.
You have no idea how “not prudish” I am.
But if you continue to tags pictures of your bare a$$ laying in bed as “shibori” I’m going to continue to flag you as not complying with the community guidelines.
They aren’t even shibori sheets for cryin’ out loud.
How about- you don’t show me your a$$, and I won’t show you mine.
That feels better. Everyone else, carry on.
