I’m falling out of love with my WordPress theme.
January 24, 2008Look around. Isn’t it just pretty and soothing and relaxing. I love the colors. The person who designed it did a great job. But it doesn’t look like it ever got finished. I keep checking her website and people have been asking for the updates to no avail. And I can’t seem to customize it. Well, I can. The Etsy mini went okay. But the designer doesn’t seem to have ever release a “complete version” and I don’t know enough CSS, and I don’t have enough time to play around with it anymore.
So I’ll be theme shopping, which is a bummer. I like the night sky thing going on here. Haven’t found any others quite like this. This is where I kinda miss blogger- it seemed easier in some aspects of customizing what you look like. Though the new thing of not letting you put in you URL if you aren’t “gasp” a Blogger person is incredibly annoying. I commented on a few blogs- and my URL leads to a blogger “page not found”. Apparently Blogger is not playing nice with anyone else.
Anyhoo- this post has nothing to do with anything. There will be changes here yet again. Probably over the weekend. Dang. I ‘d much rather be creating something else.
If any Wordpressers stumble upon a theme like this…. lemme know, okay?

The new theme looks great! I like this look better than the last.
Okay- if you are still on- is the home page a black background to you? It should be white.
But I may be having weird cache issues or something. Half the time today the changes didn’t seem to take.

The background was black when I first commented… now it’s white…
I don’t know what’s going on. I changed it to the black. It didn’t show up. As soon as I changed it back to white, the home page went black and the rest went white.
And changes aren’t taking immediate effect either.
But whatever. I kind of like dark backgrounds, but I’m not big on the white text on black. Too hard to read for some people.
BUt the general look is what I want. I need to tweak photos in old posts so they are sized right.
